Volunteer With Us
Interested in volunteering your time with Beth Shalom Seattle? It's a great way to uphold community and foster meaningful connections. Our volunteer opportunities range from one-time activities to ongoing committee work. Take a look below to see our current volunteer needs.
Short-term volunteering
Become a Shabbas Chef: We need Shabbas Chefs to prepare Kiddush lunch! Choose a week that fits your schedule, and we'll assist you in menu design, coordinating kitchen helpers, and ordering ingredients.
Contact Beth Shalom member Kevin for more info!
Prepare a Meal: Provide nourishment for families who are in Seattle for medical purposes, including those undergoing treatments for conditions like cancer. Your support can make a significant difference, whether it's by preparing a meal or assisting with other needs.
Contact Margot Kravette for more info.
Building & Grounds: "What have you done for your Synagogue lately?" We have a fantastic response. There are 15 exterior wooden doors that get climate abuse, particularly those facing south or southeast. Some of these doors require immediate attention. Steve Katz has taken the initiative to address several doors and has already commenced the work. Work with Steve to understand the process and equip yourself to independently work on one or more doors.
Contact Beth Shalom member Dominique for more info.
Long-term volunteering
Development Committee: Do you enjoy working on a team and creating opportunities for our members to support the synagogue financially? This team is in need of your help and works with the Executive Director in planning and implementing all fundraising and revenue-generating programs of the synagogue.
Contact Executive Director Colin for more info.
