Beth Shalom Chapter Sewing Sisters Days For Girls
Help Girls Stay in School in Cameroon!

All ages, genders, and religious faiths welcome.

Sewing skills not necessary. This is a great project for high school students who need volunteer hours and for b’nai mitzvah students who are searching for a fun and meaningful mitzvah project.  Families welcome. Light dinner provided. If you are interested, feel free to show up.

About the Project: Our primary goal is to build cross-cultural communities that work for good & have fun together. Last year 10 members from our community of Saturday Sewing Sisters carried 1,200 kits from the SSS community to school girls in Cameroon. Our goal is 1,500 kits to take in Cameroon in December 2016. The Days for Girls (DfG) kit design is the result of feedback from    women all over the world. Listening is an approach that results in solutions that work. Every washable Feminine Hygiene Kit gives back up to 6 months of living in just 3 years of use. That’s 180 days of education, health, safety and   dignity.  See the Days for Girls website.
