Kadima (6th and 7th Grade Youth Group) Make Pizza Hammentachen
Hammentachen don’t have to be sweet, but they do have to be triangular! We will bake pizza filled ones out of pizza dough together on Zoom. A great snack or dinner. So fun and yummy for Purim!
How to participate:
- Sign up “provide your own ingredients” and you should purchase and be ready with pizza dough (store bought or homemade), sauce, and cheese, any toppings you want to add

Hey 6th and 7th graders- Can you bake the best hammentachen? Which sweet and savory fillings are your favorite? Let’s bake together, compete, and find out. This event will be following Tuesday Prozdor classes on March 3rd from 6:30pm-8pm and will include a yummy homemade dinner.

All CBS middle schoolers are invited to join Mor and Abaye after lunch on February 22nd to celebrate Tu Bishvat together. We will be downstairs at CBS. Can’t wait to see you there. This is a free event and no registration is required.

Kadima (6th-8th Grade) Fun in the Sun
Tuesday, May 28th from 5-6:30pm
Drop off outside of the Green Lake Community Center and pick up at Ben & Jerry’s (7900 E Green Lake Dr. N)
Join us for our last Kadima (6th-8th grade youth group) event for this year- activities, ice cream, and hanging out at Green Lake! We will meet on Tuesday, May 28th, from 5-6:30 at Green Lake community center. After some fun activities by the lake, we will walk to Ben & Jerry’s to get some ice cream. Please send your kid with some money to pay for their ice cream. Pick up will be from Ben & Jerry’s, ( 7900 E Green Lake Dr N).
Noam will be traveling to Green Lake by bus from at 4:30pm CBS- let us know if you’d prefer your child to take the bus instead of being dropped off at the lake.

Kadima Survivor Night
Come join Kadima on Saturday, December 15 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the annex for Survivor Night. Back by popular demand, this year’s event is bigger than ever! We’ll be making a hot dinner, competing in exciting challenges, and honing our wilderness skills. The cost is just $5 so sign-up here in advance or RSVP by email and bring it with you to the event.
6th-8th graders-We will have super awesome laser tag set up in the Social Hall! Come ready to play! Advanced payment and sign up below required.
October 14th– Kadima Sport Round Robin- 12:30pm-2:30pm- Join us at CBS to compete with your fellow kadimanicks in a variety of fun sporting events.
Bring your sunscreen, towels, and sand toys along and join CBS and SJCS as we welcome Noam Rinat, CBS and SJCS Shinshinit 2018-2019, to Seattle.

As our year together comes to a close, we invite all 6th-8th graders to come say goodbye to Tal and celebrate the end of the school year and start of summer. What better way to celebrate summer then with frozen yogurt! Meet Tal and Noah at Menchies in the U Village- May 31st from 5pm-6:30pm. You can stop by or plan to stay for the whole time. Remember to bring some money to purchase your sweet treat!
