Prozdor provides students with opportunities to delve deeper into various subjects within Judaism.

Weekend morning courses are facilitated by a variety of Rabbis and educators in the CBS community.  At the beginning of each semester a calendar will be provided with the session topics, facilitators, times and locations. In addition to class time, students spend time in the sanctuary familiarizing themselves with the Shabbat morning service and supporting their peers who are celebrating their B’nai Mitzvah.

Parent Participation: Parents of 6th and 7th grade Prozdor students are strongly encouraged to attend the first hour of class with their teen each Saturday (or Sunday) morning. They are also invited to stay for the the third class beginning at 11:40 each week.

Prozdor Celebrations of Learning: Tuesday students will have 2 opportunities during the year to share their learning with parents, classmates, and teachers. Dates will be shared on our academic calendar.

Participation in Prozdor is a requirement of our B’nai Mitzvah program.

Tuition Pricing for 2024-2025 (Registration open now!)

CBS believes that Jewish education should be accessible to all. The synagogue’s budget offsets the cost of Religious School to keep it affordable, reflected in the “standard tuition.” The actual cost to educate each child, retain excellent teachers, and provide quality, innovative programming is higher than the standard tuition, reflected in the “unsubsidized tuition.” Members who are willing and able to are invited to pay the unsubsidized tuition or make a tax exempt donation. As always, we want our Prozdor Program to be open and welcoming to all, and scholarship funds will be available to anyone who might need some financial assistance. To discuss financial assistance or if you are interested in becoming members, please contact our membership director.

In addition, Prozdor tuition is adjusted depending on whether the student is enrolled in a Jewish Day school.
