Mishloach Manot for non-members

Mishloach Manot for non-members

We’re excited to announce that Congregation Beth Shalom (CBS) is hosting a community-wide Mishloach Manot project again this year. New this year – those who are not members of Congregation Beth Shalom will be able to participate by sending gifts to CBS members. In the past non-members have expressed an interest in buying baskets for members, and we were touched by these thoughtful requests. Because of the limitations of our ordering system, we cannot arrange for non-members to receive baskets, but if you wish to spread the Purim cheer by sending baskets to your friends or family who are CBS members, please use the order form below.

**Note – if you are a Congregation Beth Shalom member, please do not use this page to place your Mishoach Manot order. You should have received an e-mail from HappyPurim.com to order your Purim gift baskets. Contact our Community and Membership Engagement Director with any questions.**

Mishloach Manot—Sending food gifts to friends and family—is one of the four Mitzvot performed on Purim. It is a heartfelt way to emphasize the Jewish unity that lies at the core of the Purim holiday and to create meaningful connections within our own community at the same time. Through this project, you can participate in the sending of a beautiful gift basket to your fellow CBS members that will be available for pick up the week of Purim (March 9 – March 13). The items in our Mishloach Manot gift baskets will celebrate this year’s Purim theme: The Greatest Ma’ariv!

It’s a Mitzvah, it’s great fun and is an easy way to support CBS!

Matanot l’evyonim—giving gifts to the poor – is another of the Purim mitzvot. In observance of this mitzvah, we are collecting funds to sponsor the meal served at St. Dunstan’s Church in Shoreline on Purim day (March 10).  If you would like to fulfill the mitzvah of matanot l’evyonim in this way, you will have the option to add a donation to your order.

Here’s how it works:

You can select a group and donation level (ranging from $36 to $360 for the entire congregation), outlined below, or for just $5.00 per recipient, you can participate in the sending of a beautiful gift basket to any of your friends or family who are CBS members. Every member family will receive one gift package, along with a Purim card that lists all the people who participated in their package.

How you place an order:

Use the fields below to choose who to send to. You can send to individual households by providing their name and your relationship to them (grandparent, friend, etc.). Or you can choose the option to send to a group (see the selections below).

— ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY Friday, February 28 at 5pm —

Thanks so much for your participation! We look forward to a great Mishloach Manot project.
