The schedule of family services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur can be found here.

We care about your health and safety and are currently not able to offer Young Family Tefillah, Torah and Tots, Kids Kehilla, Shabbat Babysitting, and Youth Minyan in person on Shabbat morning.

Begin on September 25th, we will be offering a Friday afternoon (3pm) Pre-Shabbat Service and Program on Zoom led by a few different CBS Educators.  Schedule and details available below! This will be a really fun way to see your CBS friends and celebrate Shabbat together!

*The link to participate will be shared via the Cybershul and Education Department Newsletter. If you aren’t on those email lists and would like to request the link, please email Rachel at rachelwachtel@bethshalomseattle.org.

Youth Minyan- NOW ON ZOOM

Due to COVID-19, instead of a teen led service containing Shacharit, Torah Service, and Musaf, there will be teen led havdallah over zoom. This amazing monthly youth led service (no adults allowed! Only post B’nai Mitzvah teens!) is a great time to hangout, make new friends, and start off a new week. After doing havdallah together, we will play a few games. Youth Minyan will meet 6-8 times per year. Mark your calendar for the Fall 2020 dates: 9/12, 10/24, 11/21, and 12/5. Havdallah will be at different times depending on when Shabbat ends. No sign up required.

Torah and Tots

Join our 2020-2021 Shinshinim for a fun Shabbat morning activity! We will sing Hebrew songs, play games, and do some Shabbat friendly art work. The program is for young children ages 2-5. Parents are welcome to come as well. It will take place at 11:30 am in room 4/5.

This program meets every Shabbat morning during the academic year except when Young Family Tefillah (above) meets.

Note that Torah and Tots takes place in the same space as Shabbat babysitting. All kids in babysitting are invited to participate, as is anyone who wishes to join just for Torah and Tots.

Kid’s Kehillah

Kids Kehilla is a fun, interactive prayer service for children ages 6 – 11. We meet downstairs each Shabbat morning from 10:45 until 12:00 (or until the main service upstairs is complete) in room 3. During Kids Kehilla, children sing prayers, play games, have their own Torah service and more. We also have special services throughout the year (including Lego Kids Kehilla, Star Wars Kids Kehilla and Backwards Kids Kehilla!). Please join us for a fun-filled Shabbat morning!

Shabbat Babysitting

Want a safe, nurturing place to leave your children while you daven on Shabbat mornings? Great babysitters provide a safe, fun play time for young children (ages 1-3) during Shabbat morning services.  This program meets from 9:30am to 12:15pm every Shabbat morning in room 4/5.

Youth Minyan

This amazing monthly youth led service (no adults allowed! Only post B’nai Mitzvah teens!) is an incredible place to make new friends, enjoy delicious food, and practice your service leading and Torah skills! Youth lead every aspect of the service from Shacharit to our Power Musaf! Then, we join together for lunch and some socializing. Youth Minyan meets 6-8 Shabbat mornings per year from 10:15am to Noonish in the Beit Midrash (Library) at Beth Shalom. No sign up required, just mark your calendar for the 2019-2020 dates: 9/14, 10/5, 11/16, 1/11, 2/22, 3/28, 5/16.

Everyone is welcome! The Shabbat programs above are offered free of charge. Have a question? Please contact our Director of Education.
