The Haggadah as a Reflection of Jewish History and People

March 30 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Rabbi Josh Elkin to explore different aspects of the Haggadah in this online learning.  First we will look at the basic historical structure of the Haggadah as we know it.  We will then examine  the  historical evolution of the Haggadah as it has developed over 2000 years. How is it that there have been over 3000 different editions of the Haggadah since the advent of the printing press in 480?

Rabbi Josh Elkin is a Leadership and Executive Coach, working with both lay and professional leaders in the Jewish and general non-profit community.  Prior to the coaching work, Josh was the Head of School at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston, and the founding executive of the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education (PEJE).  He is married to Judy Israel, who is part of the Seattle’s Sephardic community.  Together they are the proud parents of Jon and Kiley, Ben, and Liza.  After nearly 40 years in greater Boston, Judy and Josh moved to Kirkland in the summer of 2019.  They are new members of Congregation Beth Shalom.
