Learn more about addressing pressing questions and experiences related to aging and caregiving.
Dementia, depression and delirium are three of the most complicated mental health concerns for older adults. It is crucial to recognize and differentiate among these. Delirium requires immediate medical attention, while depression can lead to serious health issues or suicide. Depression also can be misdiagnosed as dementia.
Karen Kent, from JFS, a licensed mental health counselor with a specialty in geriatrics, will help us clarify differences and identify appropriate treatment for each.
